JAKARTA – Shareholders of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) have proposed a cash dividend distribution of IDR 23 per share from the 2024 fiscal year’s net profit.

According to the proposal from the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) on Monday (28/4), the cash dividend consists of a final dividend of IDR 18 per share and a previously distributed interim dividend of IDR 5 per share.

In addition, the company will allocate IDR 1 billion from its net profit as a mandatory reserve in accordance with the Limited Liability Company Law No. 40/2007.

Previously, according to the 2024 Financial Report, the total dividend paid out by the end of 2024 amounted to IDR 633.69 billion, a 54.24% increase from the total dividend of IDR 410.83 billion from the 2023 fiscal year.

The report also indicated a total dividend of IDR 10 per share, which included a dividend of IDR 5 per share from the 2023 fiscal year distributed in July 2024, and IDR 5 per share as an interim dividend for the 2024 fiscal year distributed in December.

The price-to-earnings ratio per share reached 17.78 at the end of 2024, with total equity amounting to IDR 8.35 trillion. The company recorded net profit attributable to the parent entity of IDR 594.85 billion, up 77.77% from IDR 334.61 billion in 2023.

During the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) on 28 April, the agenda included the approval of the Annual Report and Financial Statements, allocation of net profit, appointment of public accountants and accounting firms, changes in the board of directors and commissioners, and the transfer of repurchased shares through an employee stock ownership programme, with a maximum allocation of 400 million shares.
