JAKARTA – Donald J. Trump is set to hold a mass rally in Michigan on Tuesday (29 April), marking 100 days in the White House since his inauguration as President of the United States (US) on 20 January 2025.

Karoline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary, announced that Donald J. Trump will visit Michigan to campaign in Macomb County, celebrating his first 100 days as US President in his second term. “President Trump is thrilled to return to the state of Michigan,” she said, as quoted by foxnews.com on Monday (28 April).

Michigan was the final campaign stop for Donald J. Trump during the election season before the US Presidential Election in November 2024. The state served as the last battleground between Donald J. Trump and US Vice President Kamala Harris before voting began. It has also been a key campaign ground for securing victory in the 2016, 2020, and 2024 Presidential Elections.

According to Karoline, the Michigan rally will commence at 4:00 PM local time, doubling as a celebration of the start of President Donald J. Trump’s term.

In his first 100 days, the 47th US President has signed 137 executive orders, surpassing the record of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Among these executive orders, Donald J. Trump has dissolved the Department of Education, implemented bans on LGBTQ initiatives, diversity programmes, and renewable energy projects, and streamlined the federal government. (LK/LM)
